Six Sharp MLB Player Prop Bets for Thursday, Including Blue Jays vs. Yankees

We only have eleven MLB games on Thursday, but I was able to find six sharp player prop bets on OddsJam. In this betting preview, I’ll be sharing my top prop bets for August 18.

The first player prop pick I have is in the Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees game on Thursday. I found a sharp bet on the OddsJam Positive EV Betting Tool.

I’m on Frankie Montas under 5.5 strikeouts at -128 odds on FanDuel sportsbook. I think that the value in this play is ridiculous. No other sportsbook offering odds better than -164. As a sports bettor, it is critical to line shop and look for value in the odds. Being able to grab Montas u5.5 Ks at -128 odds is clearly incredible value, and I’d recommend being all over this play.

Unfortunately, FanDuel only gave me a maximum wager of $38.40 on this player prop bet for Thursday. I guess OddsJam is beating them up too much and they’re scared of my action! Regardless, I locked this bet in for the max I could, and I think this is one of the top MLB props for August 18. My betslip is below.

Diamondbacks vs. Giants Player Prop Picks, Predictions

3:45 p.m. ET

The next player prop bet I have is in the Diamondbacks vs. Giants game. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. ET. For this game, I have a “Player Bases” prop bet.

I’m on Daulton Varsho over 1.5 Total Bases at +150 odds on FanDuel sportsbook. I think that this is one of the best MLB prop bets for Thursday, August 18. As seen in the screenshot above, no other sportsbook is giving odds better than +130 on Varsho o1.5 Bases. FanDuel is offering insane value on this player prop.

Similar to the last prop bet, FanDuel limited my stake to only $40. Regardless, I played it for the max I could, and my betslip is below.

I have two prop bets for the Chicago Cubs vs. Baltimore Orioles game on Thursday, August 18. First, I’m on Ryan Mountcastle over 1.5 Total Bases at +105 odds on FanDuel.

The value in this prop bet is crazy! No other sportsbook is offering odds better than -120 on this play. In fact, every online bookmaker has Mountcastle o1.5 Bases favored. I love the value in this play, and I locked in this prop bet for the max I could ($57.10). My betslip from FanDuel is below.

I have one more prop bet in Cubs vs. Orioles. It’s another play in the “Player Bases” market. I’m on Patrick Wisdom o1.5 Total Bases at +130 odds on FanDuel. As seen in the screenshot below from OddsJam, no other sportsbook is offering better than +105 odds on this play. The value on FanDuel is insane.

I tried to hit this prop bet for $500, but FanDuel gave me a maximum wager of $46.20. Such a random amount! I guess the Positive EV Betting Tool is beating them up a bit too hard.

I have two prop bets for the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers game on August 18. First, I’m on Andrew Heaney o6.5 strikeouts at +116 odds on FanDuel.

I locked this bet in on FanDuel for $25. Unfortunately, FanDuel limited my maximum bet size. I would’ve wagered much more on this player prop. I think that this is one of the top prop bets for August 18. My betslip for Andrew Heaney o6.5 Ks is below.
