Five Week 1 College Football Bets to Lock in Now

College football is almost here. In this betting preview, I’ll be sharing five sharp NCAA Football bets for Week 1. All of my bets were found on OddsJam.

In this betting preview, I focus on some of the bigger games, such as Utah vs. Florida, as well as some of the lesser known games. My first official pick is for North Texas vs. UTEP. The value isn’t always in the big games, and I just follow the value, hunting for Positive EV bets.

North Texas vs. UTEP Betting Odds, Picks, Predictions

Saturday, August 27 at 9 p.m. ET

College football kicks off on Saturday, August 27. Eleven games are on the slate, including the North Texas Mean Green vs. the UTEP Miners. This game takes place at 9 p.m. ET in El Paso, Texas.

I’m on UTEP moneyline at +105 odds in this game, and my betslip is below. I wagered $100 on this college football play.

My bet is on WynnBet sportsbook. I think UTEP will handle North Texas at home, and I love the value in this play at plus money (e.g. above +100 odds).

My prediction is that UTEP wins this game 30-20. I’d lean to bet the under in this game as well, but I don’t have an official pick locked in on the total.

In the past week, line movement has steadily moved betting odds towards UTEP. Backing them on the moneyline at +105 odds was one of the most profitable Positive EV bets available on OddsJam.

Utah vs. Florida Betting Odds, Picks, Predictions

Saturday, September 3 at 7 p.m. ET

The next game where I am have a sharp betting pick is Utah vs. Florida. The Utah Utes made the Rose Bowl last year, losing by just 3 points to a talented Ohio State team. They fell 48-45 after leading most of the game.

The Utes are slight favorites in this game. FanDuel sportsbook is offering the best line on the Utes moneyline at -126 odds. Florida is best offered at +120 moneyline odds on Caesars sportsbook.

Lines have been drifting towards Florida, and the sharp, Positive EV bet in this game is Florida moneyline at +120 odds. As seen above, the profit margin, or edge, of this NCAA Football bet at +120 odds is 2.4% (e.g. wagering $1,000 yields $24 in profit margin, or EV).

I locked this bet in for $100, and my betslip from Caesars sportsbook is below.

I also played the o52.5 points on FanDuel at -110 odds. I think that this game will be high scoring, and I put $247.50 on this bet. My prediction is that Florida will win this game 35-27.

UL-Monroe vs. Texas Betting Odds, Picks, Predictions

Saturday, September 3 at 8 p.m. ET

UL-Monroe vs. Texas will most likely be a blow out. The Longhorns are currently 38 point favorites on the spread. However, I do have a NCAA Football betting pick on the total. I took the under 67 points at -110 odds on DraftKings sportsbook for $50.

A smaller play for me, but I still like the value. This bet is also from the OddsJam Positive EV Betting Tool.

Boise State vs. Oregon State Betting Odds, Picks, Predictions

Saturday, September 3 at 10:30 p.m. ET

The final play I have is u59 points in Boise State vs. Oregon State. My bet is on DraftKings sportsbook, and I played it for $50. I think that this is one of the best NCAA Football bets for Week 1.
