OddsJam’s NBA expert dives into his top NBA picks with a two-leg parlay for Tuesday’s slate of NBA games. Find out what he’s targeting below!
8 p.m. ET
For the first leg of Tuesday’s parlay, we head to Chicago, where the Clippers will be taking on the Bulls. Winners of four of their last five, the Clippers are coming off a rough loss to the Cavaliers in which they were held below 100 points (and beaten by 23), while the Bulls are 3-2 in their last five and coming off of a win.
These two teams are two of the bigger question marks in the NBA, as we haven’t seen either of them genuinely healthy at any point in the last two years and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change any time soon. That said, even when injured, the Clippers are the more talented of the two teams, and have the better top end talent (and a myriad of wings who can make the Bulls night very difficult).
While the Bulls are decent at home (13-10 this season), they’re not one of the better home teams in the league compared to some of their peers. And by virtue of being .500 on the road, the Clippers are actually one of the best Western Conference road teams. Only three teams (the Clippers, Kings, and Nuggets) are at/over .500 on the road.
I’m starting this one off with Clippers -3.
10 p.m. ET
For the second leg of our parlay, we head to Denver, where the Pelicans (riding an eight game losing streak) take on the Nuggets. Let’s be honest: that losing streak is almost definitely going to increase to nine games on Tuesday night, as the Pelicans are a truly bad road team (9-16 this year) while the Nuggets are the most dominant home team (22-4) in the league.
While the Pelicans were briefly one of the top three seeds in the West, after losing eight straight, they’re now floundering and just above .500. With one more loss, they’ll fall out of the playoffs entirely for the time being. Unfortunately for them, the Nuggets are the better team even when both teams are firing on all cylinders, and the home court advantage will be too much for the Pelicans to overcome.
I’m taking the Nuggets -6.5, but this one has blowout written all over it.
