Denver Nuggets (46-31) vs Minnesota Timberwolves (43-34) Betting Pick

Nuggets -2 -135 at DraftKings

There are a few things I love about the Nuggets tonight. They’re in a battle to stay out of a play-in game, with the Timberwolves right behind them.

Neither team is playing on a back to back, but the T-wolves are in the midst of a long road trip, coming directly from Toronto. Both teams are expected to be close to full strength. And at full strength, the Nuggets are close to the toughest team to beat.

They’re scoring efficiently, defending effectively and Jokic is leading the MVP conversation. In their last matchup, Jokic was held to 21 points and the Twolves bench supplied 68 points which led Minnesota to the win.

I don’t see that happening again. Take the Nuggets and don’t worry about the small spread.

Memphis Grizzlies (54-23) vs Phoenix Suns (62-14) Betting Pick

Suns -7 -110 at Caesars

What the Grizzlies have done without Ja Morant on the court is phenomenal. They’re 18-2 without him and blowing out great teams. Desmond Bane has been excellent and the team runs really deep. But lets look at this objectively.

The Suns aren’t just the best team in the NBA, they’re putting together one of the best regular seasons of all time. And the Grizzlies will be without not only Ja Morant, but Tyus Jones, Jaren Jackson, Desmond Bane and Steven Adams are ALL doubtful to play.

I’m getting a sense of a team that doesn’t want to test injuries because they know a win is unlikely anyways. There’s only so much you can adjust for and I think the Suns will quickly quiet the story of how good the Grizzlies have handled injuries. At least for a night.
