Carlos Rodon is a strikeout machine sent from the future. He’s currently tied for 4th in the league with 161 K’s. Rodon is ranked in the 86th percentile of the league with a 1.26 K/Inning average.

In his last start against the Pirates earlier this season, he went over 7.5 strikeouts. 

Speaking of strikeouts, the Pirates just happen to be addicted to them, especially against lefties like Rodon.

The Pirates have the 2nd WORST K Rate in the league against lefties. The Buccos also have the 3rd WORST K’s/Game average overall. 

Going even further, when it comes to lefties the Pirates end up on the wrong side of the K prop line at an alarming rate.

14 of the last 17 lefty starters the Pirates have faced this season have gone OVER their K prop line. That’s extremely eye opening?! We are definitely picking up on a trend here. 

So here we have a K machine lefty pitcher with great swing and miss stuff, against a team that has been extremely whiff prone against lefties all season.

This particular matchup right here checks all those JP K prop boxes that I’m always looking for. It’s about that time to exploit a mismatch. My JP K prop sense is on tingle alert!
