7:45 p.m. ET 

On today’s slate, we have the Cardinals against the Padres in the second game of the series and it features a Blake Snell vs. Adam Wainwright showdown. 

Snell will be pitching in his third game after coming back from injury and he has been rusty, allowing 3 runs in each game.

Things won’t get easier today. 

The Cardinals love batting against left-handed pitchers and Snell will get rocked. 

Wainwright is coming off one of his worst outings last game so expect him to get back to his form and pitch an excellent game at home. 

A left-handed pitcher coming off an injury and an offense that crushes lefties is a recipe for disaster for the Padres.

Braves vs. Diamondbacks Pick: First 5 Over 4.5 Runs | -140 at BetMGM

9:40 p.m. ET 

This evening’s showdown between the Braves and Diamondbacks will have plenty of offense for us tonight in the first half. 

We have a pitching matchup of Charlie Morton vs. Humberto Castellanos, neither of whom have been pitching well lately. 

Castellanos has been getting lit up the last two games, allowing 9 runs in nine innings and giving up at least one homerun in each of his last four starts. 

It sounds like the Braves are going to have an offensive explosion and they will take advantage of Castellanos’ recent bad pitching. 

Pitching for the Braves is Morton and he has been terrible on the road, putting up a 6.75 ERA, going 1-3 and allowing 17 runs in the four games. 

That is a great sign for the Diamondbacks offense. Look for both of these teams to score plenty of runs and easily cash the F5 total.
