MLB super star player Fernando Tatis Jr has failed a league drug test and is now facing a suspension of up to 80 games. This news coming with Tatis on the brink of returning to active play in the MLB after he broke his wrist in the off season. The latest of many that the short stop has dealt with in his young career.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is the son of Fernando Tatis Sr. who was also a Major League Baseball player. Following in his fathers footsteps, he was drafted to the MLB by the Chicago White Sox and then traded to the San Diego Padres whose system he came up in.

After dealing with wrist, shoulder, oblique, and back injuries the Padres organization and its’ fans were excited to add the young start to their already stacked lineup of batters following the trade deadline acquisition of Juan Soto.

Now, it appears they will have to wait just a bit longer. About 80 games or so. Tatis has the option to appeal the test, however that success rate is incredibly low.
