5-Leg PrizePicks Entry for Hot Dog Day Promo, Featuring Luis Castillo

I’ve got another five-leg PrizePicks slip to finalize our Hot Dog Day promotion at PrizePicks. They offered three discounted pitching props and this will be our third entry, as it’s best to take advantage of every promotional opportunity possible.

If you haven’t already signed up for PrizePicks, be sure to do so using code ‘ODDSJAM’ for a $100 deposit match. It’s the easiest money you’ll ever make!

Before we get into today’s picks, be sure to check out this video, where I break down a betting strategy called correlation:

Pick #1: Luis Castillo Over 6 Strikeouts

Of course, our first pick is the promotional play at PrizePicks. Castillo’s strikeouts prop has been reduced from 7.5 to 6. While that may not seem like a ton at first glance, strikeout props have a ton of variance and one strikeout can easily be the difference between winning and losing.

Simply put, PrizePicks offered us three discounted pitching props and I created sharp betting slips for all of them. There is so much money to be had with sportbook promotions, so be sure you are taking advantage of every opportunity you have.

Pick #2: Charlie Morton Over 5 Hits Allowed

I found this play from OddsJam’s MLB Screen, which is an extremely valuable tool for scanning any sportsbook market. We have a Screen tool for every major sports league and I periodically scan it to look for line discrepancies, which is exactly what I’ve found here:

As you can see, PrizePicks is offering this strikeout prop at 5, while everywhere else is at 5.5. Since our line at PrizePicks is lower than the rest of the market, the sharp play is to take the under.

I treat every sportsbook market as a data point. No offense, but you’re not going to be able to outsmart the oddsmakers, who have millions of dollars invested in creating their sportsbook lines. Instead, I rely on the data and take advantage of line discrepancies like this one.
