For the safe pick, you can make an argument for any of the three at the top of the odds board in Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler and Justin Thomas — but I prefer JT the most out of those three.
Thomas is in some of the best form of his career.
When he is hot, he can go on an absolute tear as he did back in 2018, when he earned his way to the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Rankings.
He won his first major in 2017 then it took him five years to win his next one at the PGA Championship a few weeks ago.
Now that he finally got that monkey off his back, I look for him to continue his stellar play in his next major.

Shane Lowry has been a staple of our betting portfolio and he has been the most consistent player on Tour without a win this season.
Few have played at such a consistently high level this season — in his past 11 starts, he has three top-three finishes and nothing worse than 35th.
Lowry is one of our favorite picks to win this week at the Memorial and if he does his odds will drop a bit, so it’s better to lock him in for the US Open sooner rather than later.
Zalatoris has been the epitome of a big-game hunter, with four top-10 finishess in his six career major starts including two runner-ups. It is just a matter of when, not if, he is going to get that elusive first major.
He is always a top-five iron player in any field. All it will take is for his putter to cooperate, and he will be a major champion.
It will come and come soon, and there’s a very good chance it’s at the US Open in a few weeks.
