England return a star-studded lineup with many household names. Captain Harry Kane, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling will lead the powerful English attack vs. the predicted bottom of the group, Iran.

Iran has had some recent success in friendlies but have not played anyone on the level of England. This is suppose to be the easiest match of the group stage for England before USA and Wales. Look for England to light up the scoreboard and try to build a goal difference gap.

Senegal vs. Netherlands Pick: Netherlands Team Total Over 1.5 | -120 at DraftKings

This is probably my favorite play of the opening days of the tournament. Much like England, the fire power on this Netherlands side is incredible on paper. Memphis Depay (Barcelona), Frenkie De Jong (Barcelona) and Captain Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool) will take on the one of the more popular African sides looking for the upset. Bad news for Senegal is that Sadio Mane (Bayern) has been ruled out for several months and may miss the entire tournament.

The moral blow of losing the best player on your team days before the first match might be to much to overcome. Even with Senegal’s great defense, Netherlands star power will continue to rain goals in this match.

USA vs. Wales Pick: Gareth Bale Any Time Goal Scorer | +190 at DraftKings

The man with probably the most famous Champions League goal in history seems ready to take the pitch for his country. Fresh off a MLS Cup win, one that he played a major roll in, with an incredible 128’ minute (Yes, you read that right) goal to send the match into penalties and eventually lead to LAFC lifting the Cup.

This is a huge opening round matchup for both clubs because many odds makers have it as a toss up between which one of these clubs advance. The USA plays a very defensive style game but it’s hard to pass on these odds given that Bale is clearly the most experienced and best player on the pitch.

Bale is also in charge of taking penalties for Wales so that is a extra bonus for us.
