It’s that magical time that comes every four years before the World Cup kicks off and national pride flows.

This year’s World Cup is in Qatar and no matter what your feelings are about that, we can all agree that we hate the schedule. Leagues around the world come to a screeching halt in mid-season because of the temperatures in the region.

Usually, the World Cup would be played in the summer when most leagues are on break but not this year. The history of the FIFA scandal to get this tournament to Qatar is well documented but today we are here to find some future winners. Let’s make some money!

2022 FIFA World Cup Odds & Predictions

Golden Boot Winner Prediction: Neymar | +1000 at DraftKings

While Neymar is not the favorite to win this year’s Golden Boot (+700 Harry Kane), it’s hard to ignore the value. Neymar is in incredible form this year, scoring 11 goals in 14 matches with PSG and 8 goals on the march through World Cup qualifying with Brazil.

While anything can happen in this tournament, you have to believe that Brazil will be there at the very end for more opportunities to add to the goal tally. With Neymar’s ability to take penalties for Brazil, I can not see a reason why he should not be the favorite over Kane.

World Cup Futures Value Pick: Germany Group E Winner | +120 at DraftKings

This group comes down to two nations and you have to pick the one you do not see dropping points. As Group E kicks off, you can already assume who is going to go through with Spain, Germany, Japan and Costa Rica.

The wild card here is Japan — they are heavy underdogs to advance but have shown they can steal a surprise point. It will come down to the head-to-head matchup between Spain and Germany for the group winner.

The Germans look like world beaters with the form Bayern and Dortmund players are in. I am concerned that they still have no proven striker behind Kai Havertz, but the dangerous midfield Bayern attack will be there to back him up. Look for Germany to sweep the group.

United States World Cup Pick: USA Elimination in Group Stage | -140 at DraftKings

I am sorry, United States fans. This team has shown no ability to score goals at all. England is odds on favorite to win the group at -1200 so it will come down to U.S. vs. Wales. Iran is also in the group but unless they shock the world with some upsets, we can rule them out.

The best part is that Wales vs. USA is the first match of the tournament for both sides. The U.S. has gone 2+ matches without scoring a goal so I do not expect much from them this tournament. Sorry Team USA supporters, it will be a short week in Qatar.

Longshot World Cup Winner Pick: Germany to Lift the Cup | +1000 at DraftKings

I know, I know … this is 100% a homer pick. As many of you know, I am from Germany and I can not think of a better longshot play. The Germans have some of the best players in the world and look to be a shoe-in to advance out of the group with no issues.

Germany is littered with Bayern superstars but will also include Kai Havertz (Chelsea), Antonio Rudiger (Real Madrid), Julian Brandt (Borussia Dortmund) and more. If you were ever to take a shot in the dark, do it with players and a team that has lifted the cup before.

2022 World Cup Winner Prediction: Brazil to Lift the Cup | +400 at DraftKings

Brazil’s roster looks like someone cheated at a video game. Neymar, Pedro, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo — the list goes on and on and on. This Brazil team is the favorite to win the tournament and rightfully so.

This loaded roster can only beat themselves and have no reason not to be lifting the cup at the end. As long as they avoid injuries, no one can compete with them on paper. While I want it to be Germany, I fully expect Brazil to be standing there with the Cup at the end.
