Thursday’s UEFA Europa League Predictions & Picks, Including Union Berlin vs. Braga & Molde vs. Djurgardens

The magic of Europa is not for the faint of heart. There is no harder tournament in the world to cap over the Europa League. It is a unique opportunity for clubs that may never have played each other in their history to matchup in a country they have never been to. Let’s try and find some winners in this bunch!

Europa League Predictions & Picks

Union Berlin vs. Braga Pick: Under 2.5 | -125 at DraftKings

12:45 p.m. ET

Berlin have been the recent kings of unders in the gambling world. They very successful model of getting up 1-0 and parking the bus hard. The problem today is that Braga are also a very good defensive side and lead Union Berlin in the group by 1 point.

Nothing would make Braga happier than grabbing a draw or sneaking away with a 1-0 victory again like in the previous matchup. One of the most incredible stats I’ve seen recently is the Union Berlin’s under have hit 11 out of the last 12 matches.

No reason to see why that does not continue given that this should be a very close match that both sides would like a result from. 

Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) vs. Trabzonspor Pick: Over 2.5 | -115 at DraftKings

3 p.m. ET

Crvena Zvezda, or more commonly known as Red Star, need 3 points in the worst way here. Trabzonspor and Monaco in Group H currently sit at 6 points while the Serbians sit at 3.

This ultimately sets up a win-or-go-home for Red Star today. If Red Star want to stay in Europa, they are going to have to play a more open style and take chances for the win against the Turkish side.

Trabzonspor also need a result here because Monaco is right behind them in the standing and they want to avoid falling into the Europa conference slot. The first contest saw Trabzonspor dominate the stat line in a 2-1 win but playing in Serbia is a different environment.

All I see are goals here because both sides need this result from the start. 

Molde vs. Djurgardens Pick: Over 2.5 | -140 at DraftKings

3 p.m. ET

This is the matchup I had circled all week. Two high-flying attacking teams face off again after a 3-2 Djurgardens win in the first contest.

The Swedish side Djurgardens lead Group F with 10 points and have been scoring unstop. In the last four matches, they have 12 goals alone and have shown no signs of slowing down that attack.

The Norwegian side Molde are on a roll right now as well. They do not have a loss in 13 of the last 14 matches with the only loss coming against Djurgardens. I see some big-time goals in this one and even sprinkled over 3.5 at some plus money.
