Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League Predictions & Picks, Including Rangers-Napoli & Real Madrid-RB Leipzig Sept. 14

It is Day 4 of Champions League action and another big slate is on the cards. This is Matchday 2 for these clubs and it’s very important for teams that lost to get some points with this matchup.

Two opening losses most likely knock a team out of this tournament because it will be too much to overcome. Let’s see who surprises us this week!

The Italian leaders head to Scotland to take on the fast-following Rangers. This is a story of two clubs headed in opposite directions very quickly. The Rangers have been outscored 8:0 in the last two matches against Celtic and Ajax.

The beating the Rangers took from their rival Celtic has seemed to unhinge the Europa League runners-up and it does not get any easier. Napoli are one of the hottest teams in all of Europe, winning six of the last eight — including routing Liverpool 4-1.

They also have 20 goals across those eight matches. This form will just be too much for the Rangers to handle.

Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Celtic Pick: Over 2.5 | -135 at DraftKings

This is a tale of two teams that are trying to find their identity. Celtic look ready to run away with the Scottish league after hammering the second-place Rangers 4-0. Celtic have been in almost unbelievable form in the Scottish league, scoring 19 goals in the last four matches.

Celtic rolled into last week with all the confidence in the world and got blown out at home by the champs Real Madrid. It was a match that displayed the huge talent gap between the leagues and showed Celtic are not ready for the next level.

They are, however, ready to take on the Ukraine champions, Shakhtar Donetsk. Shakhtar looked very impressive in their 4-1 win at Leipzig. Their last two matches have gone over with both teams scoring, I like that trend to continue here.

The champions continue to be disrespected in lines at home and abroad. Real Madrid have not slowed down since lifting the cup last year. Real Madrid have won every match they have played this season across every competition.

Top to bottom, Real Madrid are still the best team in the football world. Look for them to continue to roll against a struggling Leipzig squad.
