John Hyslop is here with his play of the day! Check out an NFL player prop bet he’s locking in for the Tennessee Titans vs. New Orleans Saints on September 10, 2023.

Titans vs. Saints Pick: Juwan Johnson 40+ Receiving Yards | +172 at FanDuel

We’re at the luxurious FanDuel SportsBook for this banger since they give us the ladder moves. FanDuel is my favorite book for receiving props since we’re not locked in to just taking the standard line. For instance, most spots have Johnson at 27.5 (-115). I don’t want to lay -115. I’d much rather say he’s going to go for 12 more yards if a book is willing to give me +172 for it. Especially since I was originally tipped off about Johnson by the Positive EV Tool at OddsJam.

  • If you don’t have access to the Positive EV Tool here at OddsJam, then you should get it. We’ll even let you use it for free for two weeks. On top of that, if you sign up before Monday and use promo code SLOP at checkout, you’ll be entered to win $1000 of my cash. Just click here and don’t forget to use promo code SLOP. It’s that easy.

Here’s the thing with Juwan Johnson, I think he’s good. Like possibly really good. I get that he’s only caught 59 balls for 706 yards in his entire career but he’s only really played for one season. We need to give these guys time to cook.

Plus, most of his career production came last year when he went 40+ eight different times in just 16 games. That’s almost half. On top of that, he’s got Derek Carr throwing him balls this season. People forget that Carr carried Darren Waller for years in Oakland. He knows how to turn a tight end into a wide receiver.

Things won’t be that easy for New Orleans on Sunday as they welcome the Tennessee Titans to town. The Titans have a decent defense. Maybe even a good one. Everyone knows that but like Achilles, they have a heel and that heel is covering the tight end position.

Last season, they gave up more receiving yards to the tight end position than any other team in the NFL. We’re talking 1,130 on 98 receptions here people. That’s noticeable. I’m not saying Johnson is going to set a record Sunday but 40+ yards seems very doable. Feels right.
