Packers vs. Eagles Sunday Night Football Sharp Picks

Packers +6.5 | -107 at PointsBet

The cracks in the Eagles’ super team are beginning to show, as they have not looked great in the past two weeks. As everyone knows, they suffered a primetime loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 10. Lesser known is last week’s struggle against the Colts, as it was a 1 p.m. ET slate game and didn’t have the same audience.

While the Colts have perked up a bit behind new head coach Jeff Saturday, they are still are very talent-deficient roster. While the game was in Indy, there are zero reasons for the Eagles to need a go-ahead touchdown with under a minute left in the game to get past a bad team like that.

It’s particularly concerning after a loss, which is why we are turning to the Green Bay Packers to cover another big spread. Green Bay is very bad this season, but the Packers are definitely better than the likes of the Colts. The oddsmakers continue to give the Eagles these large spreads to cover and we are going to capitalize on that.

The Packers have had an extra few days of rest since losing at home on Thursday Night Football, so we will be reluctantly backing them once again, this time as near-touchdown underdogs.

Under 46.5 | -107 at PointsBet

In an effort to make both of these picks winners, we’ll be leaning toward the under, which would help us in covering a 6.5-point spread as opposed to a shootout.

The Eagles rush defense is very suspect, as evidenced by their loss to the Commanders on MNF. While they did sign a pair of veteran defensive tackles in response, it remains unclear if that will solve their issues in that department.

I’m expecting somewhat of a struggle against the Packers’ run-heavy offense, which will lead to long drives on both ends. As we know, the Eagles are a run-heavy squad as well. When you pair the two, there’s a good chance the clock is constantly ticking down in this one.

We know how talented the Eagles defense is, but the Packers unit does not get the credit they deserve. Their success has been overshadowed by the team’s offensive failure. They should be able to at least slow down the Eagles on offense enough to keep this total under 46.5
