Marshawn Lynch DUI Arrest: Police Removed Former NFL Star by Force

Earlier this week former NFL star Marshawn Lynch was arrested for suspected driving under the influence in Las Vegas. Now, police footage has surfaced showing the entire interaction with the police. Ultimately, Lynch was dragged out of the car by his sweatshirt and thrown violently on the ground.

The footage reveals that Lynch was leaned back in the seat of a 2020 Shelby GT-500 and being uncooperative with police who were asking him to step out of the car. In the video, officers can be heard multiple times asking Lynch to step out of the car. Lynch refused multiple times asking why he needed to step out of the car.

After he was informed he was obstructing an investigation, officers grabbed Lynch by the hood of his sweatshirt and pulled him from the car onto the pavement telling him, “Roll over. Hands behind your back. No more games today.”

TMZ has reported that the police documents they obtained state that Marshawn Lynch was uncooperative even upon return to the police station saying they, “had to use a restraint chair” to draw blood from him after obtaining a search warrant.

Lynch’s attorneys have released a statement saying, “Marshawn was not pulled over for a DUI. Rather the vehicle was safely parked and not in operation. We are confident that when all evidence is presented, this will not be a DUI under Nevada law. Marshawn appreciates and is thankful for everyone’s concern and support.”

Lynch is due in court for a hearing on the case in December.
