John Hyslop is here with his play of the day! Check out an NFL player prop bet he’s locking in for the Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs on September 7, 2023.

Lions vs. Chiefs Pick: Josh Reynolds Over 28.5 Receiving Yards | -110 at FanDuel

Ok so we have some decisions to make here. Most books have this thing at 26.5 but it’s juiced to the moon. I hate that. We’re talking like -130+ here people. That’s ridiculous. I think we can just add a couple yards and take the price down a little. I do that all the time anyways, when I go 40+, 50+, etc.

So for that reason, I am saying play this at FanDuel. It should be noted that I have not bet this yet as I am still holding out for 30+ at even money or so. I will either bet that if/when it comes out or I will just do over 28.5 (-110).

Here’s the thing, this guy is likely going to play a lot tonight. The reason I say that is because I know the haters are going to say that he didn’t do much last year. Who knows what the hell was going on last year? It was a weird time for everybody. The Lions had DJ Chark, TJ Hockenson and Jameson Williams at times last year. Guess what, none of those guys are around tonight.

Obviously, Amon-Ra St. Brown is going to get his but somebody else is going to have to do something too. And don’t even say senior citizen, Marvin Jones is the answer. Come on.

The reason I say someone else will have to do something is because the Kansas City Chiefs are going to score on the Lions. We could actually see the Lions in catch up mode all night long.

When that happens, we’re looking at the chuck and duck which is my favorite offense to watch. The Chiefs weren’t horrible last season defending wide receivers but they still gave up 2,500+ yards to the position. My guess is Reynolds and Jared Goff connect multiple times tonight. We only need 30 yards. That could happen on one play. Feels right.
