New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers Pick: Brock Purdy Under 7.5 Rushing Yards | -102 on Betano

Thursday, September 21 | 8:15 p.m. ET

The 49ers are off to a hot start sitting at a pretty 2-0 to begin the 2023-24 NFL Season. They look absolutely unstoppable and should be good for another win on Prime Time Thursday night against the New York Giants.

Brock Purdy has looked the part and picked up right where he left off last season prior to his unfortunate injury he suffered in last season’s NFC Championship game. We’re looking to back the stud 49ers QB tonight (or fade – depending how you look at it) in the rushing department which may come to the surprise of a few of you given how low the line is.

Using the OddsJam Positive Expected Value tool, we scanned the board for the best Brock Purdy Player Props, because we all want some Purdy action on Thursday night and was shocked at how low his Rushing Yards Player Prop was. Obviously, we weren’t shocked enough to lay off it – because we locked it in. Brock Purdy under 7.5 rushing Yards is what we’re on and grabbed it at -102 on Betano.

For those of you who do not have access to Betano, you can still grab this bet at a reasonable -105 at BetMGM. Now, what you don’t wanna do is lock this bet in with books such as Pinny (-132) who are giving the same bet at a ridiculous 43 cents higher than Betano. It truly does pay off to shop around and the Positive EV tool makes it that much easier. Let’s dig into this bet more below.

Purdy has now taken part in 14 NFL games, albeit not all as a starting QB. Now, that being said, in those 14 games, Purdy has rushed for 8 yards or more three times (21.4%).

Those three times? NFC Wild Card vs. the Seahawks (16 yards), the NFC Divisional game versus the Cowboys (8 yards) and opening week of the 2023 season versus the Pittsburgh Steelers (30 yards).

It seems safe to say Purdy saves his running for the playoffs, and considering the potential blowout that awaits us Thursday night, it’s unlikely we see Purdy run often. In fact, if it gets sweaty near the end? Purdy may save us with a couple of kneeldowns to run out the remainder of the clock.

Look, we totally understand how nerve-racking this line presents itself to be, but when digging into the context of this game and heading into it with a belief that we should see a straightforward 49ers win, we get that much more confident in it. Ride the wave with us and lock it in!
