OddsJam betting expert @NorthSideCapper is back with his favorite prop for tonight’s matchup on Thursday Night Football.

Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Pick: Sam Howell Over 12.5 Rushing Yards | -125 at Fliff

Thursday, October 5 | 8:15 p.m. ET

The NFL has done it again, providing its audience with an exciting matchup that fans across the globe simply can not wait to tune in to.

In all seriousness, only those who eat, breathe and live football will probably tune in tonight for a match up that fails to inspire. We got the 2-2 Commanders hosting the 0-4 Chicago Bears and we’re targeting the Commanders quarterback Sam Howell in the player prop market tonight.

There is a ton of value to be had on his rushing prop, and seeing it as low as 12.5 has put a smile on our face we can not contain so let’s look into it further.

Using the OddsJam Positive Expected Value tool, we scanned the board looking for anything to catch our attention. Believe us, given tonight’s match up, it wasn’t easy but we found one.

As mentioned prior, we’ve locked in the over 12.5 rushing yards on Sam Howell and did so at Fliff who is offering us the best value on the market at the time of writing currently sitting at -125.

If you’re looking for action and have access to Fliff, lock it in with them because…the lines on other books? They aren’t pretty.

For example, Pinny has this same wager being offered at -166 while other books such as Caesars (-151), BetMGM (-140) and DraftKings (-140) aren’t far behind. That being said, we’re receiving over 40 cents of value by using Fliff tonight for our bet of the night and we encourage you to do the same.

In a division consisting of the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, the Commanders never really stood a chance, and to be frank they simply don’t have the talent to match either club.

A .500 season is probably a positive in the eyes of many Commander fans and there’s reason to believe Sam Howell can deliver just that. Aside from his poor performance against the Buffalo Bills which resulted in a 37-3 Week 3 loss, Howell has performed in a very respectable manner. He’s tossed 1 INT in three other matches while getting into the end zone in three of his four matchups early in the season.

Now, all that is great but we’re eyeing his rushing prop and we’re doing it for a reason. In four games this season, Howell has rushed for 11,13,18 and 40 yards. See a pattern? We do.

The Commanders seem to be unleashing the beast that is Sam Howell’s legs and he has continued to use them more and more on a weekly basis. Considering the Bears are prone to allowing the QB getting out of the pocket and using their legs, we have no reason why Howell won’t be able to build on his numbers in Week 5 and have locked this in with confidence. So much so that we already consider it a winner.
