Early Sunday NFL Slate
Bears vs. Falcons (-3.5)
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
I legitimately have no idea what to do with either of these teams. Justin Fields has had an incredible run for the Bears the past month or so, but the Bears are also 1-4 in their last five games. So, it hasn’t exactly translated to wins.
The Falcons, meanwhile, laid an egg of epic proportions on Thursday night against the Panthers when we last saw them. I’ll take the 3.5 points with the Bears and move on with my life.
Bears vs. Falcons Pick: Bears +3.5 | -115 at DraftKings
Panthers vs. Ravens (-12.5)
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
I have a steadfast rule when it comes to betting on sports. If Baker Mayfield plays, fade that team.
With Panthers QB P.J. Walker out for this game with a sprained ankle, Mayfield, who has been among the worst QBs we have ever seen this year, will get the start. We’re taking the Ravens by a million.
Panthers vs. Ravens Pick: Ravens -12 | -107 at PointsBet
Browns vs. Bills (-8)
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
The Bills are now on a two-game losing streak, after losing one of the weirdest games you’ll ever see last week against the Vikings. The Bills also had a double-digit second half lead in both of those games as well.
Meanwhile, the Browns are in a rut of their own, losers of four of their last five games. I’m not overly confident in this one, but concerns over Josh Allen’s elbow give me enough pause to ride with the Bills, so I’ll take the points with the Browns.
Browns vs. Bills Pick: Browns +8.5 | -113 at BetRivers
Commanders (-3) vs. Texans
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
This game has let-down game written all over it for the Commanders. They won an impressive but somewhat flukey victory over the Eagles last week in Philly, and celebrated as though they won the Super Bowl.
This team is definitely worlds better with Taylor Heinicke as the QB as opposed to Carson Wentz, but it is unlikely they’ll play with the same energy against this lowly Texans team. Commanders win an ugly one that the Texans cover.
Commanders vs. Texans Pick: Texans +3.5 | -115 at DraftKings
Eagles (-6.5) vs. Colts
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
Speaking of the Eagles, it will be interesting to see how they bounce back from their first loss of the season. They have legitimate concerns over replacing Dallas Goedert, who is out with a shoulder injury, as well as their shoddy run defense against Jonathan Taylor, but they should be able to take care of business against this Colts train-wreck.
I know the Colts won their first game with Jeff Saturday last week, but that was against an even bigger train-wreck in the Raiders.
Eagles vs. Colts Pick: Eagles -6.5 | -107 at PointsBet
Jets vs. Patriots (-3)
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
Both of these teams had a bye last week, so it is easy to forget that in the Jets last game they came back from down double-digits to defeat the Bills. I still could not be more out on Jets QB Zach Wilson, but we have seen enough from the Jets and specifically their defense to know that they are a legit team.
This game should be a close, low-scoring one (over/under is only 39), so I’ll take the points with the Jets.
Jets vs. Patriots Pick: Jets +3.5 | -120 at FanDuel
Rams vs. Saints (-4)
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
The Rams, who literally just won the Super Bowl, are four point underdogs to a 3-7 Saints team. Yikes.
Granted, the Rams will be without All-Pro WR Cooper Kupp in this game, and could possibly be without starting QB Matthew Stafford too. Stafford missed last week with a concussion, and is currently questionable to suit up this week as of the time of this writing.
Also, the Rams stink.
Rams vs. Saints Pick: Saints -3.5 | -110 at Tipico
Lions vs. Giants (-3)
Sunday, Nov. 20 | 1 p.m. ET
The Lions have now won two straight games, while the Giants keep on winning games where they don’t look particularly impressive. The Giants have still yet to win a game by more than one score, despite being 7-2. They only have a point differential on the year of +14.
So, this is all to say that the Giants win but keep games close, which lends me to take the points with the Lions.
