Although the traditional center position in the NBA is being used less and less in today’s game, there are still plenty of big men who can dominate the game and get paid accordingly. One thing worth noting is that with the steady decline of the center role, no center is within the top 10 highest-paid players in the NBA today.
Four centers are making more than $30 million for the 2021-2022 season, and seven make more than $20 million. This past offseason, Joel Embiid signed a four-year, $196 million extension with the Philadelphia 76ers. Other than that, no other deal for a center made the top 10 in terms of value.
