Boston Celtics
The Celtics are here after a convincing sweep of the Brooklyn Nets in Round 1. Of course, they also had a convincing end to the season over the last four months.
Since the calendar turned to 2022, the Celtics were the best team in the NBA by far. They had the best net rating in that span, while also having the best defense in the NBA by a country mile.
With Robert Williams aka “Timelord” now back and healthy from his knee injury, the Celtics are also pretty much fully healthy. I say pretty much because Jaylen Brown is dealing with some hamstring tightness, but the guess here is that he will be good to go for the series.
Milwaukee Bucks
After a brief scare in the first two games of the series, the Bucks completely dominated the Chicago Bulls in the final two games to win their series in five.
It got a little nerve-wracking for the defending champs after narrowly winning Game 1 and then losing Game 2. But, the Bucks showed up in Games 3, 4 and 5 and that was that.
The main concern with the Bucks, though, is how they are going to fare without Khris Middleton, who was announced out for the entirety of this series. Middleton legitimately saved the Bucks in some playoff games last year, so missing him will be huge.
