Ever since his 5 Earned Runs blowup against the Astros on July 21, Domingo German has been a stud starting pitcher for the Yankees. The last time German faced the Rays he struck out 6, and I’m expecting him to replicate that success tonight.

We’re going to stick with the Yankees/Rays match-up for another pick — this one will be looking at the other starting pitcher in this game, Jeffrey Springs. Honestly, I do not expect Springs to limit the Yankees runs. However, even when he is giving up runs, Springs still delivers strikeouts. In his last 10 games, he has gone under 6 Ks only 4 times. 4.5 is a criminally low number for a strikeout artist like Springs. I would love for this line to be closer to -130, but even at -158 it cannot be passed up.
