Good afternoon! I hope everyone’s having a fantastic weekend. We are back with today’s MLB first five innings best bets! 

The first game we are diving into is the Mets vs. Dodgers in their series finale. The Dodgers took the first two games and the Mets stole game three with a 9-4 victory last night.

Both of these teams have high-powered offenses that can score in any inning. 

Tonight’s pitching matchup features Trevor Williams vs. Julio Urías with the advantage going to Urías. 

Williams comes into today’s matchup with a 3-0 record on the road and an ERA of 5.02. That’s not going to go very well against the Dodgers who have one of the best — if not the best — lineups in baseball. 

Williams doesn’t just struggle on the road, he also hasn’t gone past three innings in any road start this season, so this can get ugly fast. Look for Dodgers to get to Williams often and early. 

The Dodgers will be sending Urías to the mound and he has been up and down this season. He is 1-2 at home with a 3.52 ERA and coming off a bad outing against the Pirates. 

After a bad game, Urías typically tends to step up and shut out his next opponent. I expect nothing less from him today. 

Take the Dodgers -0.5 F5 and trust Urías to shut down the Mets offense! 

Cardinals vs. Cubs Pick: Cardinals F5 Moneyline | -135 at BetMGM

7:10 p.m. ET 

Tonight’s late Sunday night MLB game will be the Cardinals vs. Cubs for game five of the series. These teams played a double header yesterday and they split one game apiece.

The Cardinals will be looking to secure a victory tonight. 

St. Louis will be rolling with Adam Wainwright for the series finale and he has been solid all season. He is still producing at 40 years old, putting up a 3-2 record on the road and 3.10 ERA. 

He has also proven he can still pitch deep into games. He has pitched seven innings in three starts this month.

Wainwright will be looking to shut down the Cubs offense and get another road win. 

The Cubs will be going with Justin Steele and he hasn’t been pitching too well. In his last two starts, he has pitched seven total innings and has given up an alarming 10 runs!

That’s great news for the Cardinals who have a high-powered offense full of hitters. If Steele is just a bit off his game, he will struggle and the Cardinals will take advantage.
