Alcantara will make things tough on the Giants offense tonight as he looks to get his fifth win in a row. 

For the Giants, they will be starting Alex Wood.

Wood has been struggling lately, allowing 8 runs in his last eight innings pitched. Marlins bats have heated up recently, so look for him to have a rough night in Miami.

Tonight’s evening game features a showdown between the San Diego Padres and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Both teams are coming into tonight’s game off a loss and looking to bounce back with a win in the first game of this series. 

Pitching for the Padres tonight will be Sean Manaea, who is coming into tonight’s game with back-to-back wins.

The lefty has been pitching well as of late and he will be looking to shut down the Brewers who tend to struggle against left-handed pitchers. 

The Brewers will be starting Adrian Houser, who has been hit or miss all season.

In his most recent outing, he was rocked by the Cardinals for 9 runs. A couple starts before that, he gave up 7 runs to the Reds.

If he is off his game just a bit today, the Padres offense will take advantage and turn this into a high-scoring game.
