I’ve got Max Scherzer fever, and the only prescription is hammering a Max Scherzer strikeout prop, so that’s exactly what we intend to do!  We’ve gone to the Scherzer well before in this glorious article, and today we plan on revisiting said well. 

Last time we rolled with Scherzer, Draftkings had the outright AUDACITY to actually lay out a plus money Max Scherzer K prop and they expected us not to hammer it?! Well they dared us and we hammered it and it cashed with absolute ease.

That was just way too easy but easy money is always the best money. I just know Mad Max has got some more easy money up his sleeve. 

His last two starts since coming back from his stint on the injured list have been absolute strikeout clinics of efficiency. He mowed down the Reds with 11 strikeouts and ran through the Braves with 9 more. Today he gets the opportunity to do the same thing against the Cubs who have had their fair share of strikeout issues. 

The Cubbies average 8.5 strikeouts per game which is sixth-worst in the league. Also, over the last thirty days they have the ninth most strikeouts in the league. Combine that with the interesting fact that the Cubs have the second most strikeouts in the league on Saturdays. Your boy JP dug deep for that little nugget of info. 

Oh but wait, there’s even more! Scherzer has great career numbers against the Cubbies. 5-2 in 10 career starts with a 2.81 ERA. In his last four starts against the Cubs he’s averaging 9.5 strikeouts. 

Plus if all that great info isn’t enough, Mad Max is pitching in the second game of a doubleheader. So he’ll be facing some combo of guys that have already played a full game today as well as some other guys who aren’t used to getting regular playing time. 

Doubleheaders water down lineups, especially in the second game. This is all sweet music to Scherzer’s ears. All of these incredible facts I have laid out for you all lead to one thing and one thing only. Absolute Max Scherzer strikeout prop domination over the Cubs! 

So with ALL that being said let’s go ahead and lock in and hammer Max Scherzer over 7.5 strikeouts against the Cubs. This should help cure our Mad Max fever and give us a clean bill of strikeout prop health. It’s just what Dr. JP ordered for the patients out there. Let’s cash this bad boy together! Bye for now.
