In his first two starts with his new team he’s been lights out giving up only 3 runs and striking out 15 batters. The line today is set at 6.5 strikeouts and he’s gone over that in his last 5 starts in a row and 6 of his last 7 starts going back to his time with the Reds. 

Speaking of strikeouts, the Angels are absolutely addicted to them. The Angels lead all of baseball with 1101 strikeouts! The next closest team is more than 23 K’s away, it’s not even close. The Angels also have given up the 2nd MOST strikeouts at home. 

Should I keep going? Ok I will! The Angels have given up the 2nd MOST strikeouts to righties. The Angels have the WORST K Rate in the league against righties and the WORST K Rate overall. The Angels also have the absolute WORST K’s/Game average overall in baseball. Is anyone else picking up on a trend here? 

So here we have a stud K machine pitcher with  great swing and miss stuff, against a team that has been extremely whiff prone basically all season. This particular matchup right here checks all those JP K prop boxes that I’m always on the lookout for. You know It’s about that time to exploit a mismatch. My JP K prop sense is definitely tingling!
