Welcome back everyone to another day of MLB first five best bets! For today’s first game, we have the Guardians visiting the Rockies for the first game of the series. 

Shane Bieber gets the start for the Guardians and he has been pitching beautifully his last five games, allowing a little over a run per game.

He is their ace and he will be looking to shut down the Rockies offense. Coming into tonight’s matchup, he is 2-1 on the road with a 2.23 ERA. Bieber has hit his strong mid-season form and it will continue tonight. 

For the Rockies, they will be sending Antonio Senzatela to the mound and he hasn’t been having the best season. In his last five starts, he has allowed 15 runs — against a Guardians team that can hit the ball, that can be a problem. 

I expect him to struggle tonight and the Guardians offense to score some early runs on Senzatela. Take the Guardians first five run line and let’s cash. 

Twins vs. Mariners Pick: Mariners F5 Moneyline | -120 at BetMGM

10:15 p.m. ET 

For tonight’s late game we have the second game of the Mariners and the Twins series. Tonight’s pitching matchup features Logan Gilbert vs. Joe Ryan, with the edge going to Gilbert. 

Ryan had been pitching well this season — boasting a 5-2 record and 2.98 ERA — but he has been injured and hasn’t pitched in more than weeks. When pitchers come back from an injury, even if it wasn’t for too long, they tend to come back pitching rusty.

I expect Ryan to struggle in his first game back and the Mariners to get to him often and early, forcing him to exit the game. 

The Mariners will be going with their ace Gilbert tonight. He is 6-2 on the season with a 2.41 ERA. He has only given up 4 runs twice this season but also has four games where he didn’t allow a single run.

I think the Twins will struggle tonight trying to get hits on Gilbert and he will be the difference-maker.
