John Hyslop is here with his Home Run Bets for the day! Check out there MLB home run bets he’s locking in for the 15-Game MLB slate on May 23, 2023.

Home Run Bets: Tyrone Taylor +480/Bryan De La Cruz +500/Cal Raleigh +330 | All Playable at FanDuel

Instead of the normal parlay that I throw out, I’ve decided to jump on some straight bets on dingers. After all, dingers are fun and FanDuel has a great Dinger Tuesday promotion. If you bet at least $25 on a player to hit a home run, they will give you $5 in Bonus Bets for every home run hit (by both teams) in that game (up to $25). That’s a damn good deal if you ask me. We all need bonus bets as well as dinger bets so we’re just living the dream with this promo. Feels right.

For the first bet, we’re going to Milwaukee where the wind is howling out to center field (probably). We’ve got two guys on the mound in JP France and Colin Rae that enjoy giving up the long ball. In fact, of all the pitchers on the slate, these two are in my top five for giving up home runs. JP France just gave up three in his last start. For that reason, I’m taking Tyrone Taylor to go deep tonight. The guy just hit two missiles last night. I think tonight is his night to see one of those missiles hit the seats.

Next we’ve got Bryan De La Cruz and the Miami Marlins taking on the Colorado Rockies in Denver. Obviously we want to target this game and while everyone seems to like Jorge Soler, he’s only +220. I think he hits one but why not take a guy like De La Cruz at +500?

For starters, he’s got Austin Gomber throwing him meatballs. Gomber has given up nine dongs this season and six of them have been to righties. De La Cruz has assaulted baseballs thrown by southpaws recently so this just makes sense.

Finally, we’ll end the night in Seattle where the Mariners will see Luis Medina and the Oakland Athletics. Medina has looked like a piñata so far this season giving up dingers every night. The man has given up four homers to right-handed hitters in just 40 plate appearances. That’s terrible.

I’m thinking Cal Raleigh takes advantage tonight. I know he only has one home run against lefties this season but he’s only had 15 chances. Last night the guy hit three balls that could have killed someone off of Kyle Muller. It’s hard to imagine the same doesn’t happen tonight. One will probably get over the fence. Feels right.
