Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Philadelphia Phillies Pick: Phillies -1.5 | +145 at DraftKings

The Diamondbacks are traveling to Philadelphia after splitting a close series against the Reds. This will be Arizona’s eighth consecutive road game in as many days, a tough stretch by any measure.

The Phillies are returning home themselves, but with a much different feeling in the locker room. They’ve won seven straight in two tough series against the Brewers and the Angels (less tough than they used to be).

The offense is as hot as anything, averaging 7.6 runs through the streak and against tough pitching. 

Any opportunity to bet on this team with some value should be taken. And we’re getting that tonight, mainly due to the hot young pitcher Zac Gallen.

He’s got an impressive 2.11 ERA on the road over a 2-1 record — not easy to pull off with Arizona. But the fact is the Phillies have faced better and nothing has slowed them down recently so don’t expect that to change.

Even if Gallen puts up a nice effort, the bullpen is nothing special enough to worry about blowing the cover.
