My plan with these articles is to take you through my process when it comes to capping K Props. I love to exploit mismatches and emphasize trends and I’m really big on recent and season long patterns. There are certain boxes I like to have checked when I pick a K Prop to bet on. I want a pitcher on an upward swing against a team on a downward trend. It’s all about finding advantageous matchups. Let’s get to todays K Prop pick! 

I’m all in on Shohei Ohtani over 7.5 strikeouts against the Miami Marlins. Over his last two starts, Ohtani is averaging a mind blowing 12 K’s. There’s your pitcher upward swing I love to look for. On the other side the Marlins have the 8th worst K rate overall in the league (23.5%) and over their last 3 games they are averaging 9 K’s/Game. There’s your team downward trend. 

Ohtani is on a season long and recent positive trend on the mound when it comes to getting batters to strikeout. The Marlins have shown a tendency to swing and miss at a high rate. Add all that up and Ohtani over 7.5 Strikeouts is what I’m locking in today. At +115 odds you just can’t ask for a better value play. Let’s cash this bad boy together!
