Calgary Stampeders vs. Edmonton Elks Pick: Over 51.5 | -110 at FanDuel

Thursday, July 7 | 9 p.m. ET

Tre Ford started his first career game for the Edmonton Elks last week on the road in Hamilton, which is traditionally a very tough place to win.

He led the Elks to a comeback win, which was helped by the turnovers of Dane Evans and the Ti-Cats. Edmonton comes into this game after getting their first win of the season.

The Calgary Stampeders beat the Elks two weeks ago. But the Elks did not have Ford in at quarterback for that game. Ford brings new life to this Elks offense that the Elks have desperately been looking for.

James Wilder has not been putting up the type of numbers he is capable of and this offense with Ford, Wilder and Kenny Lawler should be set to have a big game here.

I like the over 51.5 in this game and I lean to Edmonton +3 in this spot.

Ottawa Redblacks vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders Pick: Redblacks +7 | -110 at FanDuel

Friday, July 8 | 9:30 p.m. ET

Ottawa and Jeremiah Masoli come into this game 0-3. The Redblack came up short last week against the BC Lions. Saskatchewan got back on track last week and had an excellent performance from their defense.

The Redblacks looked much better in the second half last week against the BC Lions but still came up short. The Redblacks have yet to put together a complete game, which is why they are 0-3 on the year.

Ottawa does play Hamilton next week, which could be a look-ahead spot for Masoli. However, at 0-3, this team cannot afford to be looking ahead.

This line opened at Ottawa +9 and has been bet down to 7. I grabbed this at +9, but would not suggest taking anything less than a touchdown.

I like the Redblacks to keep this one close. If the Redblacks lose this game, there is a real chance they start 0-5, with a game next week in Hamilton.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. BC Lions Pick: Over 48.5 | -110 at FanDuel

Saturday, July 9 | 7 p.m. ET

The back-to-back champs are underdogs in this game. BC and Nathan Rourke have been the talk of the CFL. This BC team continues to win and Rourke continues to turn heads across the league.

Winnipeg will come into this game after a 1-point win on the road at Toronto on July 4. This will be a very short week for them.

I have been fading this Winnipeg team all year because I do not think they are the same team from last year. Winnipeg is 2-2 against the spread this year. 

This will be the first real test for the BC Lions this year. The game on the road last week in Ottawa was a test for BC, but this game is against the back-to-back champs.

This line opened with the BC Lions as a 4-point favorite. This line is down to BC -2.5. I am not sure what to make of this line move. I initially thought this game would open up closer to PK.

This is a game that I will just enjoy watching. If you feel the need to place a bet, I like over 48.5 points in this game.
