Best CFL Picks – Week 4

BC Lions vs. Ottawa Redblacks Pick: Redblacks +4.5 | -110 at DraftKings

Thursday, June 30 | 7:30 p.m. ET

Nathan Rourke has been the best quarterback in the CFL since the start of the 2022 season. This will be the first road game for him in his career and for BC this year.

The Lions beat a very weak Edmonton team in week 1 59-15. They followed that up with a win over Toronto last week, winning that game 44-3. One of my favorite angles in sports betting is to fade teams who score a lot of points and go on the road the following week.

BC will also be playing this game on a short week. Ottawa is coming off a bye. Couple that in with their first road game of the season and I really like Ottawa here.

Jeremiah Masoli has put up great numbers in his first two games with the Redblacks. The Redblacks enter this game 0-2 after losing back-to-back games to Winnipeg, which is coming off back-to-back Grey Cup championships.

I think we will see a big effort from Ottawa in this game on Thursday night. Take Ottawa +4.5 at DraftKings. Ottawa +162 at FanDuel offers a lot of value as well. Ottawa should win this game and get to 1-2 on the year.

Edmonton Elks vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats Pick: Tiger-Cats -6.5 | -110 at Caesars

Friday, July 1 | 7:30 p.m. ET

Hamilton certainly looks like a team that lost the Grey Cup last year in a game they should have won. Dane Evans has not looked very good at all and the Tiger-Cats are 0-3 to start the year. They blew a 24-3 lead to Calgary a couple of weeks ago and Evans continues to turn the ball over.

Edmonton comes into this game after losing to Calgary the week before. This will mark back-to-back road games for them. Edmonton is by far the worst team in the CFL. Edmonton played a great game last week but ended up losing.

This is do or die for Hamilton. I hate saying that in Week 4 of the CFL season, but this team cannot afford to start 0-4. I feel this is a good game for the Tiger-Cats to get back on track. I will take Hamilton -6.5 at Caesars.

Montreal Alouettes vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders Pick: Under 46 | -110 at DraftKings

Saturday, July 2 | 7 p.m. ET

Montreal enters this game after a great win last week against Saskatchewan. The Alouettes were without Vernon Adams in that game and will still be without star running back William Stanback this week. He is dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in Week 1.

Trevor Harris stepped in and filled the void for Vernon Adams, who was out with COVID-19. I fully expect Adams to be back this week.

Cody Fajardo had one of his games last week that we are all accustomed to. He had 2 interceptions last week and did not look great at all. Fajardo is one of those quarterbacks who can be dialed in or struggle a lot.

Saskatchewan gave up 37 points last week to the Alouettes as well. I do not expect this to happen again. The Roughriders have made a name for themselves recently with their defense.

I think this game will be low scoring. I like under 46 total points in this game at DraftKings.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Toronto Argonauts Pick: Argonauts +4.5 | -110 at DraftKings

Monday, July 4 | 7:30 p.m. ET

The back-to-back champs go on the road this week after defeating Hamilton last week in a rematch of the Grey Cup last year. The Blue Bombers lost a lot of key pieces this offseason, but it has not affected them yet.

The Toronto Argonauts were embarrassed last week in BC after only scoring 3 points in that matchup. They are back home this week and I really expect a much better game from Mcleod Bethel-Thompson. Former Blue Bomber Andrew Harris will also be going against his previous team in this one.

This game has a lot of storylines with Andrew Harris choosing to join Toronto in the offseason. Toronto was very close to going to the Grey Cup last year, but former Ti-Cat and now Argo, Brandon Banks and the Tiger-Cats had other plans.

I expect a full dose of the ground game in this one and believe Andrew Harris and the Argos to control this game.

I like the Argos +4.5 at DraftKings.
