According to studies, Canadians bet over $7 billion per year in illegal wagers, and theScore hopes to capitalize as the country legalizes online gambling.
theScore Bet is not legal in Canada currently. However, since theScore is a Canadian company, they plan to be one of the first operators to enter Canada in early 2022 as Canadian regulations around sports betting change.
Signing up for theScore sportsbook is simple. Similar to other sportsbooks in the United States, you only need to provide 5 pieces of information to sign up for theScore: legal name, email address, phone number, home address, and the last four digits of your SSN.
You must be 21+ to create an account on theScore, as well as any U.S.-regulated sportsbook.
Like all other major sportsbooks, theScore offers a variety of deposit methods. Users can deposit into theScore with ACH Bank Transfer, Paypal, Play+, and debit/credit card.
Users can withdraw money from theScore directly into their bank account or Paypal account. theScore offers hassle-free fast and timely payouts. Withdrawals are typically processed within 24-72 hours.
theScore is a mobile-only sportsbook. This means that users can only place bets on the mobile app for theScore Bet – you cannot bet from a computer. The lack of a betting website is one of the main flaws of theScore, as this makes it much harder to place bets from the OddsJam Positive EV Betting Tool quickly.
Although theScore Bet does not have a web application, they’re known for having one of the best mobile betting apps. theScore currently has 4.8 stars on the Apple App Store with over 500,000 reviews. If you prefer betting from your phone, then theScore may be the perfect sportsbook for you. The slick and intuitive interface is attractive to a wide variety of sports bettors in Colorado, New Jersey, Iowa & Indiana.
Customer support with theScore is top-notch. Sportsbook support agents are available 24/7 via text, email, and chat. theScore offers some of the best customer support in the industry, right behind DraftKings Sportsbook, which is the industry leader in terms of support.
theScore Bet is one of few sportsbooks to offer a VIP program to high-volume sports bettors. VIP users on theScore have exclusive access to deposit bonuses and promotions that are not available to the typical bettor. VIP users also get invites to special events that theScore hosts, such as all-inclusive golf tournaments and hotel stays in New Jersey.
BetRivers and DraftKings are two other sportsbooks in the U.S. that offer a VIP Rewards Program to high-volume bettors.
theScore launched in New Jersey in November 2019. They were the first media company to launch a sportsbook in the United States. After launching in New Jersey, theScore proceeded to launch in Colorado, followed by Indiana and Iowa. theScore will continue to launch in new states in 2022, as a variety of new states plan to legalize online, mobile sports betting.
On top of a VIP rewards program, theScore offers a variety of daily odds boosts. The daily promos on theScore Bet are top-notch. theScore typically offers 25+ odds boosts per day, which is more than any other sportsbook in the United States. For context, Fanduel offers an average of 5 odds boosts per day on average, and BetMGM sportsbook only offers 1 boost per day.
On theScore mobile app, odds boosts can be found in the “Futures” section. An example is shown below, where Cooper Kupp to Score the First Touchdown is boosted to +750 odds. This bet was initially +550 odds, so theScore Bet is increasing the return of this wager by over 35%. Most odds boosts on theScore Bet have a maximum bet size, which ranges from $50 to $100.
theScore Bet rarely offers other promos, such as risk-free bets. theScore is largely known for its vast assortment of daily odds boosts, but they don’t offer many other promos unless you’re a VIP bettor.
A user found this mathematically profitable wager on theScore sportsbook using the OddsJam Positive EV Betting Tool. Since theScore Bet has relatively low maximum bet sizes, this is one of the largest wins we’ve seen yet on theScore.
No, theScore does not state a maximum bet size on their mobile app. Regardless, theScore is known to have very low maximum bet sizes. They rarely take wagers over $1,500.
Like a variety of other sportsbooks, theScore offers free bets as a part of their sports betting promotions. However, due to the lack of promos on theScore, free bets are rare on this mobile betting app. theScore is nothing like DraftKings or BetMGM in terms of the number of free bets offered.
Free bets on theScore typically allow maximum odds of +300. In other words, you would not be able to place a free bet on a team that is +400 odds.
theScore does not offer Same Game Parlays (SGPs) currently. Although the largest sportsbooks in the United States (e.g. DraftKings, Fanduel) offer Same Game Parlays, most of the smaller sportsbooks, such as theScore, do not.
theScore offers responsible gaming settings. Users can add daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits to restrict online gambling. Users who want to take a break from sports betting can also set “cool off” periods.
Although theScore is not a “must-have” sportsbook for US bettors, it is still a great addition, mainly due to its VIP rewards program and the dozens of daily odds boosts offered on theScore. You can typically find at least three mathematically profitable odds boosts on theScore each day.
