The race for the Super Bowl seems as wide open as we’ve seen in years. The Bills lead all teams in Super Bowl championship odds at +650. The Bucs are next and lead all NFC teams at +750.

The defending-champion Rams sit tied for fourth with the Packers at +1100.

The AFC playoffs are poised to be another gauntlet this year. The Bills have a huge burden on their shoulders, especially for a core that hasn’t been to a Super Bowl yet.

But, they’ve proven they can hang with the best of the best and many expect Josh Allen to take an even bigger lead toward the elite in 2022.

It seems like the Bills and Chiefs (+900) are on a collision course to meet in the playoffs again. The question is, will that be in Arrowhead or can the Bills finally achieve that coveted home-field advantage?

Many have said the NFC will take a step back this year. With turmoil in Tampa and Green Bay — and limited faith in the defending champion Rams — the NFC seems as wide open as ever.

NFC runners up, 49ers (+1400), are still unsure what to do with Jimmy Garoppolo, one of this offseason’s most baffling situations.

After a devastating divisional loss, the Cowboys (+1600) are certainly in the mix, although bettors have to be weary of their consistent playoff woes.

With all the volatility in the NFC, check back often for the latest odds and best value bets as the craziness of the NFL season unfolds.

Super Bowl Picks & Predictions

The Safe Pick: Bills | +650 at BetMGM

After a devastating loss in the Divisional Round, the Bills lead the pack in preseason Super Bowl championship odds at +650.

The Sean McDermott-Josh Allen era is entering its fifth season and the stakes could not be higher for Buffalo. After a few heartbreaks in the playoffs, the Bills will be expected to make a serious Super Bowl run.

Buffalo had been quiet in free agency, especially on the offensive end. However, they made a big splash on defense, signing eight-time Pro-Bowler Von Miller to a six-year deal. The addition of Miller should help bolster a defense that was infamously picked on in the biggest stages last year.

The Longshot: Chargers | +1600 at BetMGM

With the arrival of coach Brandon Staley in 2021, the Chargers seem to have a renewed energy and focus on the field. In his second season, Staley is tasked with taking third-year QB Justin Herbert to the next level.

All signs point to this core having the potential to be incredibly successful in the years to come. L.A. picked up huge wins last year at Kansas City and at Cincinnati — two games they were all but guaranteed to lose under previous regimes.

I like the value on the Chargers with this preseason line. To me, the Chargers have a similar trajectory to the Bengals, who were in the Super Bowl last year.

They open up against two AFC West rivals in the Raiders and Chiefs this season. A win against either of those teams will drop the line sharply, so I’m getting in early on this longshot.

The Value Pick: Buccaneers | +750 at BetMGM

The definitive NFC-favorite Buccaneers are +750 to win the Super Bowl. Between Tom Brady’s retirement, then unretirement, and Bruce Arians mysteriously stepping down from coaching; the Bucs have had an interesting offseason, to say the least. As we turn to 2022, Todd Bowles takes the reins as head coach.

I love the value we’re getting on the Bucs in the preseason. I feel this turmoil has made bettors sour on Tampa, but with a core of Bowles, Byron Leftwich and Brady, I don’t see the Bucs missing a beat.

The NFC as a whole seems to have taken a big step back in 2022. The Buccaneers are huge favorites to win the NFC South (-300) and, if they can get home-field advantage, I like their odds of running through the NFC en route to the Super Bowl.

2023 Super Bowl Champion Prediction: Bills | +650 at BetMGM

I’m riding with the favorites with these preseason lines. The Bills are big favorites to win their division (-190), but should be focused on bigger goals at this point in their trajectory.

Buffalo’s main focus in the regular season must be to get home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Avoiding having to go to K.C. would be a huge advantage for their Super Bowl aspirations.

I’m jumping in on the favorites early to capitalize on the value before Josh Allen leads the Bills to a hot start in 2022.
