The defending NFC North champion Packers are favored heavily to repeat at -155. The Packers continued their North dominance, finishing 13-4 overall and 4-2 in division play. Unfortunately for Packers fans, the postseason demons caught up with them again in 2021.
The Pack lost an incredibly disappointing Wild-Card Round game to the 49ers, 13-10. Green Bay scored a touchdown on their opening drive and then did not see the end zone for the rest of the game.
As we turn to 2022, the Packers, while favored heavily, had a roller coaster of an offseason. The saga of Aaron Rogers’ contract was finally put to bed, as the back-to-back MVP signed a multi-year extension.
However, the excitement was short-lived. After a contract dispute, Davante Adams was traded to the Raiders for a few draft picks. Then, Rogers lost another one of his favorite targets in Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who signed a free-agent deal with the Chiefs.

The next challenger in line to win the North is the Vikings at +250. The Vikings have a fresh voice at the helm in 2022, with the arrival of new head coach Kevin O’Connell. The young coach will be tasked with getting the Vikings out of the shadows of the Packers, something they haven’t done since 2017.
In his fifth year in Minnesota, Kirk Cousins signed a one-year extension. This was not exactly the vote of confidence Cousins was looking for. The veteran QB will be heavily evaluated this season, with the thought that he could be shipped out if he doesn’t show significant improvement under O’Connell’s new scheme.
2022 NFC North Champion Prediction: Packers | -155 at BetMGM
Despite the offseason departures, the Packers are well-positioned to retain their NFC North title. The NFC North should present little challenge to the Pack. In transition years for both Minnesota and Chicago, Green Bay shouldn’t have an issue maintaining their in-division success.
Instead, the Packers have their sights set on shaking their postseason struggles. With the back-to-back MVP and Super Bowl aspirations, anything but a division win would be a huge disappointment in Green Bay.
