2022 AFC North Title Odds, Picks & Predictions: Ravens, Bengals Top Close List

Despite finishing in the basement in 2021, the Ravens are front runners to win the always-tough AFC North at +145.
The Ravens are expected to bounce back in a big way in 2022. Former MVP Lamar Jackson missed five (six if you count leaving in the first quarter of Week 14) games in 2021, and the Ravens were unable to fill in the gap that Jackson left. Dropping their last six games, the Ravens fell out of playoff contention allowing the scorching-hot Bengals to take control.
The defending AFC champion Bengals are listed as second in the AFC North odds at +175. The historic run for the Bengals began with their first AFC North title since 2015. In his third year as coach, Zac Taylor seems to have found his groove with young phenom Joe Burrow.

After leading the league in sacks taken in 2021, the Bengals spent their offseason bolstering their offensive line. With this new o-line and Burrow’s skyrocketing poise and confidence, it will be tough to knock the Bengals from the top spot.
The Browns round out the top three, at +375. Cleveland made a splash this offseason by signing Deshaun Watson to a $250 Million guaranteed deal. However, with Watson being handed an 11-game suspension, Cleveland odds to win the North dropped from +250 to +375.

I love the value we’re getting on the defending AFC Champs. Relative to the Ravens, I think the Bengals are very undervalued. The Bengals new-look offensive line, with the addition of La’el Collins and Alex Cappa, should be enough to keep Burrow upright. His chemistry with Ja’Marr Chase is only getting stronger, making them one of the most dangerous duos in the NFL.

The Challenger: Ravens | +145 at BetMGM
The Ravens, while not as explosive as the Bengals, are a talented and complete team; a must for contending in the AFC North. As a benefit of playing a last-place schedule against the Chiefs and the Titans, their chances of contending with Cincy are a bit stronger.
