2022 AFC East Title Odds, Picks & Predictions: Bills Lead the Way

The Bills have dominated the AFC East after Tom Brady left the Patriots in 2020. Since then, the Bills have won back-to-back AFC East titles and don’t show any signs of slowing down.
Oddsmakers expect the Bills to have a breakout season in 2022. Buffalo is the current odds-on favorite to win the AFC and Super Bowl, so it’s no surprise they are huge favorites to win the AFC East at -225.
The Bills’ offseason was highlighted by the free-agent signing of Von Miller to a six-year deal. The All-Pro linebacker will go a long way to filling a glaring weakness in the Bills defense. Buffalo lost a heartbreaker to the Chiefs in Arrowhead for the second time in as many years to end their postseason run.
The now infamous divisional round game featured 17 points in the final two minutes of regulation, capped off by a 44-yard drive in 13 seconds for a Chiefs game-tying field goal. If Miller can live up to his Pro-Bowl resume, the Bills defense will be much better positioned to neutralize the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow.

The next challengers in line to compete for the AFC East title are the Patriots and Dolphins, both at +475. It’s hard to imagine these teams competing with the talent and experience of the up-and-coming Bills.
The Patriots, in Year 2 of the Mac Jones experience, will be using this season to evaluate the young QB and identify cornerstone pieces to build with. Similarly, the Dolphins, with new head coach Mike McDaniel, will be strictly evaluating Tua Tagovailoa after a rocky first two years.

Their window of dominance is still wide open, and they are only looking to expand that dominance. After back-to-back division titles, the Bills have their sights set on much larger goals. As favorites to win the conference and Super Bowl, it’s clear the Bills are expected to have a breakthrough season.
