The Sweet 16 has arrived, and one of the college basketball games I’m most excited about is Villanova vs Michigan. This game is taking place on 3/24 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. In this article, we are going to preview this March Madness game, and I will give out my best bets, picks and predictions. 

Before we dive into my picks & predictions for this Sweet 16 matchup, let’s look at the current moneyline odds for this game. Unsurprisingly, Villanova (a #2 seed) is the favored team. Let’s start out by discussing the favored team, the Villanova Wildcats. Nova is the #2 seed, and they’re coming off an impressive ten point win against Ohio State in the round of 32. Villanova is entering the Sweet 16 on a six game win streak.

The Michigan Wolverines, on the other hand, are coming off a big upset against Tennessee. Although the Wolverines were down at the end of the first half, they bounced back and were able to beat the Tennesee Volunteers handily in the round of 32. Michigan won the game by eight points and dominated the second half of the game.

My prediction is that Villanova has too much talent for Michigan to handle. Although Michigan looked impressive in their second half comeback win against Tennessee, I think that Collin Gillespie, the top scorer on Villanova, will be too much for the Wolverines to handle. I predict that Gillespie will score 20+ points and lead the Wildcats to a comfortable victory against Michigan.
