Yankees vs. Twins Pick: Yankees F5 -0.5 | -140 at BetMGM
7:40 p.m. ET
Welcome back to today’s MLB best bets! Over the last two weeks, we are 11-4 on best bets and will be looking for a sweep tonight.
For the first game up on tonight’s small baseball slate, we have the New York Yankees vs. the Minnesota Twins. The Twins were able to secure the victory 8-1 yesterday, but the Yankees will be looking to end the series with a win.
The Yankees will be sending their ace Gerrit Cole to the mound. He has been excellent all season with a 3-0 record on the road to go with a 2.78 ERA. Cole has been locked in over the last three games, striking out 30 batters.
The Twins also have some key injuries on offense and will make things easier for Cole on the mound.
For the Twins, they are going to be starting Dylan Bundy. He actually has a 2-0 record and 0.57 ERA at home but those were starts in April.
Since then, he has been declining at a fast rate on the road and has allowed 10 runs in his last two games. The Yankees have excellent hitters up and down the lineup who can do damage with any at-bat.
Look for Bundy to struggle tonight and the Yankees to light him up. Take the Yankees first five inning run line — let’s start the day with a winner!
I know, I know — the Angels haven’t had the best of luck lately and are on a 14-game losing streak.
But all we need them to do is cash the first half! I feel they have a good chance to do that with Shohei Ohtani on the mound tonight.
Ohtani is coming off his two worst starts of the season and will be looking to bounce back in a big way. He has already pitched against the Red Sox this season and didn’t allow an earned run in seven innings.
Ohtani will be dialed in and I expect him to shut down the Red Sox offense once again.
For the Red Sox, they will be going with Nick Pivetta. Pivetta has been on fire lately and has been looking like Boston’s ace.
In his last two starts, he has only allowed 1 total run but that was against the Athletics and Orioles. He will be playing a whole different offense today and the Angels will give him problems on the mound.
Look for the Angels to get on the scoreboard early and Ohtani to help us cash the F5 moneyline!
