Orioles vs. Blue Jays Betting Odds
Baltimore Orioles (59-55) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (61-52)
7:07 p.m. ET
The Orioles and Blue Jays kick off a massive series this evening. There are 4 teams within 2.5 games in the AL wild card race, and both of these teams will be a part of that race for the next several weeks. This game should be a blast with this pitching matchup, and I like both teams to find offensive success early.
Toronto is always a threat to explode on any given night, so they provide us a solid foundation on this bet. They are 2nd in BA, 5th in OBP, 4th in SLG, and 5th in runs per game. With that said, they are not the only solid offensive team in this game. Baltimore has entered a new era of baseball, the Adley Rutschman era.

His arrival has sparked this team, and while I would love for Mancini to still be a part of their offense, they have been quite productive lately. Since the all star break the O’s are 11th in BA, 7th in OBP, and 12th in SLG. They are no slouch, and both teams have struggling pitchers on the mound.
Let’s start with the home pitcher, Yusei Kikuchi. Yusei has a 5.13 ERA for the season, and much of that is thanks to the Orioles. He has allowed 9 runs in 9 innings vs the O’s so far this season. In fact, his last start was against the Orioles and he gave up 5 runs, 6 hits, and 3 home runs. Current Orioles batters have a combined .246 average vs Kikuchi with 9 extra base hits (5 home runs), with much of that damage coming this season.
Onto the Orioles starter, Kyle Bradish. Kyle has struggled much of this season with a 6.42 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP. Opponents have hit .314 vs him and have a .380 OBP. That is a tough recipe for success vs this Jays team at home. He has a 6.26 away ERA and a 6.36 ERA during night games. He has a 7.45 ERA in 2 starts vs the Blue Jays.
Two hot offenses, two struggling pitchers, and a close wild card race. This should be a great game, and I like both offenses to combine for 5+ runs in the first 5 innings.
