Mets vs. Marlins Betting Preview
6:40 p.m. ET
Happy Friday to you all! To start our weekend off, we will have a play on the Miami Marlins and New York Mets game. Who will win the pitching duel?
The Miami Marlins have been average this year, sitting at 32-36. Who has not been average is their pitcher tonight, Sandy Alcantara. Alcantara is 7-2 on the year with a 1.72 ERA and is on pace to be a front runner for the CY Young award.

The thing I love about Alcantara is he is a competitor. He is motivated to win every game and knows he has to pitch well for his team to have a chance since their bats are not good.
The New York Mets have been great this year, sitting at 45-26. Tonight, they are pitching Taijuan Walker — one of their studs. Walker is 5-2 on the year with a 2.88 ERA.
In his last game pitching against the Marlins, Walker allowed 2 hits and 1 run through 6.2 innings. I am taking the Marlins tonight because I believe the Marlins get revenge on Walker at home. They have been able to hit Walker in the past, and I think this line is begging people to back Walker as a dog.
The first five innings moneyline is the safest bet tonight because I do not trust the Marlins bullpen. I expect an excellent performance from Sandy Alcantara tonight and the Marlins’ bats to start our weekend right!
