I found the lock of the day so it’s only right I label it as my “Best Bet”. We’ve been absolutely crushing these plays and I expect that to continue tonight when we take a play that has a 100% success rate when this pitcher is on the mound. Yes, you heard that correctly.
Tony Gonsolin takes the mound with a 1.59 ERA against a struggling White Sox team that is missing some of their most important hitters. As I kept digging into this play, I noticed something.
In 10 starts when Gonsolin pitches, the Dodgers have either tied or won the first five innings outright all 10 times. They have not lost the first half of a game outright yet this season with Tony on the bump. Chicago has the 8th worst batting average against RHP in the league so far this year and the 3rd worst On-Base Percentage (OBP).
All of the data and trends are pointing toward a victory here and I have no choice but to put my hard earned money on it. Let’s cash yet another Best Bet and keep it pushing forward.
