Tony Gonsolin has been electric for the Dodgers this season, posting a 1.42 ERA and 0.82 WHIP this season. Here is where things get crazy. He has 12 starts this season, and the Dodgers have not yet lost the first half of a game outright with him on the mound across those 12 starts.
They tied twice and won outright 10 times giving this bet an 83% success rate this season. The Dodgers and the Reds are polar opposites in terms of rankings. LA ranks 2nd in runs per game, 12th in hits per game, and allows the 2nd least runs in the league.
On the other hand, the Reds ran 16th in runs, 22nd in hits, and allow the 3rd most runs in the league. The Reds are horrendous at home with a 12-20 record. They are also slumping, losing 7 of their last 10 games.
The Dodgers are 20-13 on the road this season. Mookie Betts was recently hurt but inserting Trea Turner into the leadoff spot makes this Dodgers lineup even more dangerous in my opinion. Let’s lock one of the best teams in the league in and not look back!
