In this betting preview, I’ll be taking you through my sharp MLB bet for the Diamondbacks vs Rangers game on Tuesday, May 2.
The Diamondbacks enter this game with a 16-13 record. They’re 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Rangers, who currently lead the AL West, are 17-11. They’re also 5-5 in their last 10 games.
Zac Gallen is scheduled to take the mouth for Arizona on 5/2, and Jon Gray is set to pitch for the Texas Rangers.

In this betting preview, I have a run line bet for the Diamondbacks vs Rangers game on Tuesday. I’m on the DBacks -1.5 run line at +140 odds on Fliff sportsbook.
Fliff is an 18+ sportsbook that is available in basically every U.S. state. I did a tutorial overview on how to use Fliff sportsbook in this YouTube video. Fliff is definitely an interesting sportsbook – they offer a generous rewards program as well as many unique features, including a “free to play” sportsbook with Fliff coins. You can of course also bet “real money” on Fliff, and this is called Fliff cash.
The Positive EV Tool is simple to use – you just hit the bet in bold that is highlighted in green. As seen in the screenshot above, the sharp MLB bet is DBacks -1.5 @ +140 odds on Fliff. OddsJam updates over 1,000,000 odds every second to find value in the sports betting market.

As seen in the screenshot, Fliff is offering crazy value on this run line bet at +140 odds. No other sportsbook is offering better than +125 odds on the Diamondbacks -1.5 run line.
Since sportsbooks set lines independently, each book is essentially a data point on where the line should be set. Most books are pricing the Diamondbacks -1.5 run line around +125 odds, so getting +140 on Fliff is clear value.
Is the Diamondbacks run line a “lock” or guaranteed winner? Of course not… It’s simply a bet with a mathematical profit margin, which is known as “edge” in sports betting. Nobody can find you “locks” – that’s absolute BS.
OddsJam simply finds plays with an edge that will make you money long-term. As a Positive EV bettor, you’ll still have winning streaks & losing streaks, but you’re guaranteed to win long-term because all of your plays have a mathematical edge.
I locked in this MLB bet on Fliff on $250. Fliff allows max bet sizes of $250, so I hit this MLB pick for the max I could. My betslip is above.
