Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. BC Lions Pick: Tiger-Cats +8 | -110 at FanDuel

Thursday, July 21 | 10 p.m. ET

It looked like the Tiger-Cats were going to drop to 0-5 on the season last week. The turnovers from quarterback Dane Evans continued and the defense was not able to get the stops necessary until later in the game.

The Tiger-Cats turned to backup QB Matthew Shiltz for a few series in the win last week over Ottawa. However, when the game was on the line, Orlando Steinauer went with Evans to try to win the game on the last drive.

After two big completions, the Tiger-Cats found themselves near the end zone and Evans connected with Tim White for the go-ahead touchdown to give Hamilton its first win of the season.

It really felt like this drive shifted the season for Hamilton.

My power ratings had the BC Lions as a 6-point favorite in this game. I will be taking the Tiger-Cats +8 and I believe they have a great opportunity to win this game as well.

The East is very weak this year and if the Tiger-Cats can win here, anything can happen for them this season.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Edmonton Elks Pick: Blue Bombers -7 | -110 at FanDuel

Friday, July 22 | 9 p.m. ET

Edmonton comes into this game after a huge comeback win over the Montreal Alouettes. The Blue Bombers enter this game after beating Calgary at home the other night in a showdown that was very entertaining to watch.

QB Zach Collaros looks like the former MVP and this Blue Bombers team really does not seem to be missing some of the key guys they lost in the offseason. 

I continue to be impressed with them week in and week out. I have been looking to fade them, but now is the time to lay the points.

My power ratings had Winnipeg as a 9.5-point favorite in this game. This line opened at Winnipeg -8 and is now down to 7. It may touch 6.5. If this line goes below 7, I will be going back for more.

Give me Winnipeg -7 in this game.  

Toronto Argonauts vs Saskatchewan Roughriders Pick: Argonauts +6 | -110 at FanDuel

Saturday, July 23 | 7 p.m. ET

The Argonauts won the Touchdown Atlantic game over the Roughriders last Saturday afternoon. We were on the Argos +3 here and were able to get the win.

The Roughriders really looked like the team I have believed them to be all year. Their defense was attacked through the air and the Argos had their way in the passing game.

I will look for the Roughriders to be better on defense in this next game, but I think at +6, there is value on the Argos. Traditionally, I like to take the team that lost in a game where they play the same opponent the following week, but I really do like this Argos team and think they have found their groove.

I made the Roughriders a 3.5-point favorite in this game. I feel the Argos can win this game and I will be taking them +6 in this spot.
