Sports Betting Tip: Having As Many Sportsbook Accounts as Possible is Essential to Profit Long-Term

No description available

Hey everybody! In this guide I’m going to go over why it’s absolutely essential to have multiple sportsbook accounts in order to be a winning sports bettor.

Reason #1: Sign-Up Bonuses

One of the most important things to remember as a sports bettor is that sportsbooks want you to be using their platform. DraftKings wants you as a customer instead of you going to FanDuel. Caesars wants to host your bets instead of watching you go to BetMGM. You get the point.

Because these sportsbooks are fighting for your business, they are willing to offer lucrative sign up bonuses to new users.

The best part is, you don’t just have to pick one. It’s in your best interest to sign up for as many sportsbooks as you possibly can to maximize these bonuses.

Even if you don’t think you have enough money to spread your bankroll across various sportsbooks, these bonuses can give your bankroll a boost.

Many of these books have bonuses that can go up to $1,000 or above for first-time users.

Here are some of our favorite sportsbooks you should sign up for depending on if they are available in your state:

Reason #2: Using OddsJam’s Tools

Through our Positive Expected Value, Arbitrage, Low-Hold, Middles & Bonus Bet Converter tools, as well as the Fantasy Optimizer, we offer sports bettors a wide variety of ways to mathematically profit over the sportsbooks.

These tools show profitable betting opportunities available, but they are spread across a wide variety of sportsbooks.

Take a look at this screenshot below of the Positive EV tool.

If a user only has DraftKings or Caesars for example, they won’t be able to place any of these bets.

Instead, a user that has BetFred, FanDuel, SuperBook, Fliff, etc. can place all of them and have way more expected profit than somebody that places zero or one of these bets.

More sportsbooks means more bets placed which means more profit over time. It really is that simple.

Reason #3: Line Shopping

Sportsbooks have different odds from one another. For example, FanDuel does not have, or want to have, the exact same odds as DraftKings. The books need to be able to differentiate themselves from each other.

Fortunately, here at OddsJam we can take advantage of that. To do so to the maximum extent, you need to have as many sportsbook accounts as possible.

All of these books have different prices. Imagine you drive by three gas stations and all of them have different prices. Obviously you want to stop and get your gas from the cheapest one. Sports betting is no different. If DraftKings is offering +100 odds on a bet, FanDuel is offering +105, and Caesars is offering +115, you want to place that bet at Caesars.

If you place a $100 bet at Caesars and win and profit $115, that’s $15 more than the $100 you would profit at DraftKings.

It may not seem like a massive difference, but over a large sample size of bets that differential can turn into hundreds and then thousands of dollars.

For example, why would you ever want to bet the 49ers on Fliff here? -145 when you can get -135 on DraftKings instead?

On the other hand, if you want to take the Steelers then you’d better head over to BetFred where you can get +120.

This concept is called line shopping, and it’s making sure that you’re getting the best odds on all of your bets.

Overall, having multiple sportsbooks is incredibly beneficial to you, the bettor, and we highly recommend signing up for as many as possible to make the most of your sports betting experience.

Imagine having Cowboys -7.5 when your buddy has them at -6.5 just because he line shopped? You just know that game is going to end with him winning and you losing because the Cowboys won by seven, isn’t it?
