2022 Belmont Stakes Betting Preview

Happy Friday to you all! This weekend we get the Belmont Stakes, the third race of the Triple Crown.

For those that do not know, the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes are the three big races each year.

I like picking a couple of horses and betting on an Exacta Box, Trifecta Box and Superfecta Box. That is a bet that the horses I choose will come in first, second, third and fourth in any order!

In the Kentucky Derby, we lost our Exacta Box due to Rich Strike pulling off one of the biggest upsets in sports history. In the Preakness, we correctly predicted the top five horses and cashed our Exacta, Trifecta and Superfecta bets! 

Belmont Stakes Betting Picks, Predictions

The Belmont will feature eight horses, and I have chosen four of them to back for our bets:

• #1 We The People – 2-1
• #2 Skippylongstocking – 20-1 
• #5 Creative Minister – 6-1 
• #8 Barber Road – 10-1

The favorite We The People is coming off a win at Belmont three weeks ago. He has a great jockey and trainer, and I expect him to place well.

My other three horses are underdogs who have great value.

Skippylongstocking placed fifth at the Preakness and has an excellent value at 20-1.

Creative Minister placed third at the Preakness and helped us cash our Trifecta. He is a solid horse and is a good value at 6-1.

Lastly, Barber Road did not race at the Preakness but placed sixth at the Kentucky Derby.

If two of these horses perform well, we should make some solid money on an Exacta and have a chance at a big payout with the Trifecta.
