How to Sign Up for Vivid Picks:

Signing up for Vivid Picks is easy. Download the app on your Android or iOS device and enter your preferred username.

When you do so, enter promo code ‘ODDSJAM’ for a first-deposit match up to $250. The bonus funds are paid out in Vivid Bucks as you play though them. For example, say you deposit $250. If your first entry is $25, you’ll receive 25 Vivid Bucks when you enter. After 10 entries at $25, you’ll have the full compliment of $250. Of course, your bets can be any amount. If you bet $10, you’ll need 25 entries to get there, $50 bets need 5 entries, etc.

Vivid Bucks can be used to enter contests but are not eligible for insurance (will explain in the payout structure portion of this review).

After signing up, you will have to verify your identity with your full name and birthday.

Vivid Picks is completely legitimate, regulated, and worth signing up for just like any of the other DFS sites. Not only for the signup bonus, but also because all of these sportsbooks and DFS sites set lines independently. On any given day, Vivid Picks may have way more value on the market than anyone else. Vivid Picks Payout Structure & Best Entry Type

Vivid Picks has a bit of a confusing payout structure, so bear with me.

The site offers insurance, but not in a traditional structure like PrizePicks or Underdog do.

Let’s take a five-pick Vivid entry to use as our example.

If all five legs hit, of course you’re paid out in full. However, for each leg that hits in a losing entry, you’re refunded 10% of your stake in Vivid Bucks.

So if your entry goes 1/5, you will get 10% refunded on your stake (in the form of Vivid Bucks). If you go 2/5 it’ll be a 20% refund, 3/5 = 30%, and 4/5 = 40%.

Here’s a breakdown of the implied odds with that payout structure:

At -117, both 4 and 5 picks are optimal.

There is a catch to this process though. As mentioned, the insurance is paid out in Vivid Bucks and entries placed with those Vivid Bucks are not eligible for insurance.

Those entries will NOT have implied odds close to as good as -117. Instead, it’s around -130.
