Can the Liberty Make it Back-to-Back Blowouts?
These two teams just played as recently as last night, and the Liberty got the better of the Sparks to the tune of a 29 point victory. This game was an absolute blowout, as the Liberty won every single quarter individually as well. They led by 4 at the end of 1, and that was the closest the game ever was. The final score was 102-73.
The Liberty, of course, are led by their superstar Sabrina Ionescu. She finished last nights action with 31 points in only 24 minutes of play. She also added 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals to go with those 31 points.

Despite being one of the worst teams in terms of team net rating, the Liberty have a chance in pretty much any game because of Ionescu. She is that good.
The Sparks, meanwhile, are simply not good, to put it bluntly. They have a 12-18 record, and the 2nd worst net rating in the entire WNBA. They are also in the midst of a 4 game losing streak.
The Sparks had a decent run early this summer where they were winners of 4 of 6, with some impressive victories during that stretch too. Since that run, though, they are 2-7. The only team worse than them are the lowly Fever.
Despite the blowout and the total going over 170 last night, the Liberty are only 6.5 point favorites with the total down to 163.
This tells me that the books and oddsmakers are not forecasting another blowout or high scoring game that occurred last night. With that in mind, I did find a play on the first half total that I have a lot of faith in.
Last nights game featured 94 (!) points in the first half. While I don’t necessarily expect 90+ points again, I am expecting another high scoring first half.
